if the watchtower really wants to move more mainstream they need to take a lesson from evangelicals in the united states.
they seem to say there are "essential beliefs".
a handful of core beliefs that are necessary to be considered true christians.
They hold essential views but have muddied things up do much they are in the background. 144000 will always a ts be dogmatic as nobody really knows how many delusional have claimed it.
Some things like blood are more for the controversy than any scriptural reason. Birthday is to keep you humble; " you ain't special you slave."

Obvious made up stories. A sister and men would be havng a threesome instead,(WT has repeatedly warned about hormones) and angels wouldn't be dogs, unclean animal, should be a big ram.
"raised in the truth" during the 50s, 60s,and 70s i repeatedly read and heard from the platform how reading the magazines weekly "was the equivalent of a college education" and how many had turned their family economic situation around by being "trustworthy" and giving up expensive bad habits most "worldly people" had.
sounded good.. what is the reality?
how does avoiding higher education, and then spending up to 20 hours a week getting ready for, commuting, and then participating in meetings and field service affect family finances?.

Mi hernana amiga called to talk to wife. Said the brothers look terrible with stubble. As predicted, a lot of beards are sprouting, few know the drill, how to trim, or know the better course is to take a vacation to start. Wait til they get to the ingrown hair and itch stage🙂.

I remember imperfection caused hairy faces so Jesus was shown with only fuzz.
I also remenber the standard was shaving twice a day and flattops. Neighbor witness who kept a stubble is now shaving clean. The adolescent comment is true.

Anti superstitious. Refuse to fun people with black cats, ladders. Santa, Etc.
Today refuse to eat black eye peas.
But superstitious (breaking made ul riles)about using name jehovah, going in service, shunning
so, i’m just posting this as a warning to lurking jws.
if you’re still on the fence, here is a story.. my grandmother, now in her 80s hasn’t talked to anyone in the family for over 20 years ever since my mother was the last one of her children that left ‘the truth’, she had sent my mother a card to never talk to her again.
so here we are 21 years later, she gets a call out of the blue that she needed help, she hadn’t been able to get into her kitchen.
Typical story. The few times anyone calls it is an afterthought during doorto door. Then the encouragement is to put in time, return to in person. The non witness neighbors shovel snow, drop by, offer aid, send tidbits. 1 elder, 2 ms, 3sisters live within 3 blocks.
